Attractive Bentwood Arm / Desk Chair C1940
Surviving from the early 1940s and presented in wonderful original condition with the enhancement of new aged soft claret coloured leather to the seat which will age and wear nicely. The rear of the seat is stamped NAFFI and overall it has more than a whiff of Thonet about it.
This one has a purposeful look with a hint of style and would work well with a period desk, plonked in the hallway or maybe the bedroom.
Workshop report – importantly, it’s sitting firm with no wobbles or sways, it’s comfortable with that new aged leather hide added to the seat and the frame is wonderfully time aged with lovely wear to the arms and back. The chair is ready to place.
