Greaves and Thomas Mid Century Recliner Armchair
This is a British-made and designed reclining lounge chair by Greaves and Thomas of Mayfair produced, circa 1960s Model 3704. The 3704 with its leg rest was produced in 1962 and features a beautiful design of sculptural legs and arms in Afromosia – we think it’s one of Greaves and Thomas’s best designs and very much bang on style for the era.
Putting gentle pressure on the back of the chair brings the leg-rest up into position. Giving you 2 options when chilling...
Workshop report - the chair is in fine vintage order with gentle and mellow wear to the frame which is still of a deep tone. No movement in the joints and the recliner is working as it should. The short cut velvet in pale sage green compliments the tone and grain of the frame particularly well and is rip and tear free with little wear and no odours.
An elegant looking chair from a quality British maker.
