Pretty 1920s Bergere Occasional Armchair Chair - We have 2
So attractive, with a beautiful shape to the frames and those cane sides work really well. These sit in rather good condition with those slender gentle cabriole legs, upholstered backs and slim sweeping arms - all well-proportioned and comfortable of course.
Workshop report - The frames are firm with no repairs, wobbles or sways. The high quality, buttermilk coloured refined pique woven upholstery fabric is a fairly recent addition to the back and seat, it’s taught with no rips, tears or wear - just the odd very faint mark but not ugly or particularly noticeable. The important cane work is repair free with no cane loss.
Such an attractive English chair C1920 with a super posture.
Price is for one not the pair.
