Set of 6 Mid Century Teak Dining Chairs by Portwood Manchester
A great looking set of 6 dining chairs from Manchester maker Portwood and surviving from the 1960s in good vintage condition. The sleigh bases to the stylishly shaped teak legs make them very much in line with the era in which they were produced.
Workshop report - the teak frames have been lightly repolished and are firm with no repairs, sways or wobbles. The chocolate coloured short cut velvet fabric is clean, no holes, rips and perfectly usable – you could of course embark on reupholstery if you wish. A good vintage set – expect day to day wear on the frames but nothing ugly or nasty. They smell fine too.
