Stylish 1950s Sofa by Stonehill Fab Condition
Presented in a wonderful original condition, we have this 3 seater sofa 1950s by British maker Stonehill along with a matching pair of lounge chairs, also available and listed.
This has a fair amount going for it - firstly the condition is great, the shape and form is very much of the era, those black brass tipped legs are spot on and the crimson coloured soft cut velvet with its scalloped pattern is so very attractive.
Workshop report – We have replaced the foam in the seats and as mentioned the original crimson coloured fabric is in fine order – no rips, no stains, very little fading, all buttons in situ, just a little wear around the edges of the arms. The original ebonised legs are firm and the frame also firm. Well-constructed and no bad odours. We have cleaned the sofa so very much ready to place.
