Vintage Industrial Memlite with Dinky Shade PAT Tested, Rewired etc
We were fortunate to have been given the opportunity to clear the smaller pieces and lamps from the Albion Street Works, a Grade 2 listed factory, which at its height handmade gold watch casings for the likes of Corum and Rolex. The lamp is one of 16 which were salvaged by us over a two day period.
This Memlite lamp is showing its history well with lots of aging to the piece from top to toe. This one does have a rather dinky smaller lampshade (an original fit) than most and the round base swivels around for easy use.
Like all of our lamps and lights we prefer to gently clean, leaving the wear and history on the lamp. We ensure that all lights are PAT Tested, rewired and re-plugged. We are able to add a suitable bulb at cost if requested. This one sits on a slab of aged steel which does have black felt added to the base to ensure it does not scratch any surfaces.
