Vintage 1940s British 14 Drawer Workshop Chests We Have 1 Remaining
A great looking pair of vintage 14 drawer chests from a carpenter’s workshop and presented in original condition. Unfussy, practical and workman-like, these two beauties have a super look and would have been one offs made at the workshop.
As mentioned they are workman-like rather than aristocratic - so a simple construction of a stained pine frame with ply panels and chipboard top with the 14 drawers all having the original unpolished handles – modest, but just wonderful with genuine aging to all parts.
Workshop report – We have vacuumed the drawers – waxed the runners and given the chests the once over. There is a little frame loss at the bases and the tops around the edges and an amount of wear marks all over. The chests are siting firm with no wobbles or sways.
