Good Victorian Stained Pine Glazed Cupboard Cabinet with Drawers C1880
Pretty much untouched and found on the Welsh borders, this is a lovely country piece surviving from around 1880. It’s got some real character with lots of aging to the original finish and of sensible proportions.
The pantry cupboard possesses a glazed two door top half with an off white painted interior with 3 useful shelves. The lower half offers four drawers with ebonised knobs. The piece sits on 4 stout legs and the top plinth sits nicely in situ.
Workshop report – We have ensured that this one does not get overworked, so we have cleaned the drawers, waxed the runners and checked over the frame. The glass is repair and crack free and the piece is historically marked with age in the right places and a small shard of wood missing to one of the sides – not an eyesore or game changer and not fresh. Expect a true country piece with genuine wear.
