Good 1930S Art Deco Oak Tallboy Chest Drawers Cupboard
Gorgeous looking Art Deco tallboy /gents wardrobe dated 1935 and surviving in smashing condition. Without doubt, a fine looking piece of Art Deco furniture without being too over the top and of such functional proportions.
The useful arrangement of hanging cupboard to the left with a flank of 5 drawers to the right, just looks great. The flower motif on the cupboard door is rather sweet and the wonderful chrome and ivorine handles are still in situ to the cupboard and all the little stout drawers giving you plenty of compact space. Nice curved edges and plinth with decorative feet finish this one off nicely.
Condition wise – it’s in good condition – no odours, all drawers are clean, the chrome hanging rod in the cupboard moves back and forth and these great handles are undamaged. Day to day marks to the frames but still looking very bright and the oak is of a pleasing tone.
We do have a rather good looking dressing table which matches the tallboy – just as gorgeous!
A lovely piece of English oak furniture dated 1935 with the cabinetmakers label.
