Attractive 1930s Vintage Oak Hallstand with Storage Seat
So very appealing and surviving in super vintage order. This one benefits from being of a smaller size than most and would have been produced with the smaller home in mind back in the 1930s.
Although very attractive with its slender oak frame and those little carved front legs, this one has a practical edge with that very useful lift up oak seat offering storage for gloves, scarfs and the like. So pleasing to find the little green painted drip trays in situ. Plenty of space for brollies and sticks if required.
Workshop report - A great find in that untouched but cared for condition. We have lightly waxed the piece. The little green painted trays are wonderfully age marked. The stand is firm, no wobbles with the seat lifting and closing as it should. Bearing the retailers crest on the rear. Smells fine.
A lovely piece of 1930s English oak furniture.
