Good Quality 1930S Art Deco Limed Oak Tallboy Chest Drawers Cupboard
Of a finer quality than most and sitting in wonderful gently aged condition this tallboy survives from the Art Deco, 1930s period and is from a bedroom suite of four pieces which we are offering for sale. The other items being, a dressing table, sensible sized wardrobe and a neat little bedside cabinet.
So good to see one in such good condition and with its deco inspired form echoing the era so very well without been to OTT. As mentioned this one has been cared for and is gently aged with the lime fading nicely to the top and drawer fronts. It’s a handy set up with a cupboard to the right side with a single shelf, a flight of 4 drawers to the left and two long drawers sitting below.
Workshop report – The tallboy is in overall great condition. The top is only lightly marked. Fortunately all of the original handles are still in situ on the drawers. We have vacuumed the drawers, waxed the runners and checked over the frame. No repairs, wobbles or sways. Expect light day to day wear nothing ugly or off putting. Its weighty for its size.
A lovely piece of 1930s English oak furniture.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 114.5cm x Width 89cm x Depth 46cm
