1920 Vintage Industrial British Oak 4 Drawer Desk
A recent find from the office of a North Yorkshire workshop, this early 20th Century oak desk is radiating its engineering past well. We love the simple set up of this one - two drawers either side of an arched knee hole and the fact that the back and part of the sides are galleried – so no chance of dropping pens etc.
Workshop report - This one was found in an engineer’s office so displaying it’s history well. The heavy oak tapered legs are marked, the top is again marked but no gouges only historic wear with no fresh marks. The drawers have been cleaned and are running fine – some old ink stains inside. It’s a weighty piece that smells fine.
A damn good looking British desk with an industrial past which is not too big. This one does not dismantle...
