1930s Vintage British Oak Twin Pedestal Desk by Angus
This one is presented in great historic order having been found in a Lancashire factory office. Surviving from around the 1930s, this twin pedestal oak desk with its flight of three drawers to one side, deep filing drawer by way of two faux drawers topped by a single drawer on the other side and slender middle drawer, is displaying its past well. The frame is sitting firm on 8 sturdy legs, all drawers are running fine, the great shaped handles are all in place, with the desk having no repairs or alterations. The Angus signed lock for the middle drawer is in place but no key. Please ignore the original Angus drawer locking system instructions in the middle drawer – the system has been removed.
We have waxed the drawer runners along with the frame, cleaned the drawers – only a few ink stains remain. The piece smells fine.
A lot of the time these desks are stripped back with regret, painted or left in a damp spot to decay but this one lives on.
This one will break down into smaller sections if space is tight and will go back together if you so wish but will take a bit of easy DIY- we will supply instructions!
