Fabulous 1960s Drinks Machine Converted to Useful Storage Unit – Purchased in Helicopter parts Factory

At Billy Hunt we relish finding the bazaar, the wonderful and occasionally the norm. We think this one touches all three!
Whilst picking up some great vintage factory trolleys and lamps we were asked to take a look around and maybe purchase a few more items. Whilst upstairs in this Black Country helicopter parts factory we came across this cool looking drinks vending machine with a splash of chrome and lots of 60s style. However, once opened, we realised that it had been altered to accommodate some useful shelves rather than the paraphernalia to vend hot drinks.
So here it is – a converted Sankey Drinks Machine (converted by the guys in the factory around 25 years ago on a busy Friday afternoon no doubt!). It’s most certainly a one off and what a marvellous item it is! We can see it sitting in a kitchen, office, bedroom or even a hallway and can guarantee it’s going to be one hell of a talking piece…
The condition is good, yes it’s got scratches on the sides, the odd dent or so, however the chrome on the front is good and the colour is true – a sort of pale sky blue. We have cleaned it up to ensure its client friendly.
Go on grab some style, beats the trendy Nespresso Machine or Ikea “screw them together and hope for the best cabinets”!
