An Attractive British Mid Century 1960s Oak Desk
Without a doubt this is a super looking and compact sized British made desk surviving from the 1960s, with only one previous owner.
A little Danish in design with its round finely narrowing legs and the simple two drawer set up to the right. This one looks great from all angles, it even has a decent looking back, so could sit in a room not just against a wall.
Workshop report - The desk is in good vintage order. We have vacuumed the two drawers and waxed the runners. The drawer’s interiors are historically ink marked but nothing new or ugly. The aged tarnished brass handles are in situ and the desk is repair and wobble free. The top is again age marked but no deep marks or scratches. The legs and frame are firm with just day to day marks. We have lightly waxed the frame and top. Expect a well looked after desk, no odours.
A super little British oak desk – not your run of the mill.
