Attractive Early 20th Century English Panelled Oak 4 Drawer Filing Cabinet
A rather good looking 4 drawer oak filing cabinet surviving from early 1920s and made by British company Manifoldia. This one has panelled sides and back – very nice. We would say from an office background rather than home use. It’s a weighty chap with a decent glow and tone to the oak and still possessing its original age tarnished hardware and makers transfer to the front.
Workshop report – The cabinet is firm with no wobbles. The four drawers are running smoothly with the runners having been waxed and metal rollers in situ. We have lightly polished the piece which has no bad odours. Please expect day to day historic marks and bumps. The two lower drawers are missing the file stays - not noticeable or effecting use.
A super piece of English office furniture of good quality, wonderfully aged and unspoilt.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 135cm & Top Surface 133cm x Width 48cm x Depth72cm
Dimensions – Specifcally The Drawers: Height 25cm x Width 37cm x Depth 58cm
