A very attractive modest sized Edwardian desk which is in a very enjoyable untouched condition apart from a light wax and polish by us. This desk possesses the useful combination of four drawers and a sometimes more beneficial larger cupboard for storing those larger items, it may even hold a printer depending on your model…
The desk is original with the usual wear marks, original leather top and owns a very pleasant look – no cracks, wobbles, splits or missing pieces of wood. The size means it would look great in a home office, overlooking a picture window, sitting in a living room or placed in a hallway. The colour is fair and it possesses all of its original handles which are brass plated (you may wish to polish up). The drawers are running freely and the interior is clean and tidy without the sometimes off putting ink marks or splits that are often found on the drawer bases. With its four pear shaped legs it looks nimble and is easy on the eye.
The desk has a super shape with soft edges, an angled front and benefits from having just the right amount of wear to give it that lived in look. It feels and looks like it was cherished rather than left to gather dust and cobwebs in a shed or garage.
