This Victorian Black Painted Pine trunk sits in very original condition with a fitted candle holder and displays the battle scars of being push and pulled along many a railway platform and once being the property of H. Boyer a sergeant in the 2nd Battalion K.O.S.B (The Kings Own Scottish Borderers).
The Trunk is heavy, solid in construction and displays a pleasing worn look with the black paint chipped and wonderfully crackled in places along with several worn luggage labels. As mentioned the Trunk is not perfect with several pieces missing however this as not effected its strength. The kicking and shunting off and on trains as played its part in this however we just love it and we would assume from its labels it’s well-travelled and would make an ideal addition to your collection or home.
Good to have a trunk with some character and in its original black paint-dip tank immune!
