1940s Vintage Oak Two Drawer Desk
A great looking two drawer desk probably by Crusader, St James Square, London presented in good historic order. Crusader made decent desks and this one is an unfussy well-designed piece with a good glow to the oak, very similar to one we sold by Crusader recently. Often referred to as a “Techers Desk”, this would have started life in an office rather than home.
Condition wise it’s got a few stains inside the drawers not noticeable when closed, the top is historically marked but not abused, the usual knocks and bumps from day to day use but otherwise it’s pretty good. We have waxed the drawer runners and given the frame the once over with a little beeswax to enhance its history. Smells fine.
A good vintage British desk of smaller proportions than some.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 76cm x Width 136cm x Depth 74.5cm
Dimensions – Specifically the Knee Space: 59cm
