Exquisite Little 1930s Vintage Golden Oak Twin Pedestal Desk
A wonderful little 1930s 9 drawer twin pedestal desk looking very handsome in golden oak. We would say that the top leather is a historic replacement which matches well.
This desk is of good quality with the flanks of 4 drawers both sides sitting on a deep oak plinth and all drawers having the original pressed octagonal back plated dropped handles nicely in situ. The panelled sides which are mimicked within the knee hole space is a nice feature, as is the little pencil holder in one of the top drawers. Overall it’s in a cared used condition with sensible wear and tear. The desk does break down into three pieces for easy placement. Smells fine with all drawers clean and running well.
A rather good looking English desk which due to its size would also be a perfect as a side or hall table...
Dimensions – Overall: Height 70.5cm x Width 107cm x Depth 46cm
Dimensions – Specifically the Kneehole: Height 62.5cm x Width 40cm
