Victorian Oak Snooker Cue Holder by Jas Schoolbred
A rather splendid snooker cue holder surviving from the late Victorian period by quality cabinet maker Jas Schoolbred of London. We just had to have this great looking piece – relatively rare – wonderful detailing which is to be expected from this maker.
There’s lots to get excited about with this piece - those little cast claw feet to the front, the beautifully cast holder with its light ratchet style mechanism, the green heavy cast, removable enamelled tray at the bottom sectioned to hold each cue in place and the panelled oak frame.
It’s presented in very good order, the base is historically marked as is the green tray. No repairs, no wobbles and nothing missing. So pretty much perfect to slip into a snooker or games room.
A very nice piece of oak furniture from Mr Schoolbred!
Dimensions – Overall: Height 95cm x Width 56cm x Depth 21cm
