Late 19th Century Pine Saddle Stand with Drawers
A late 19th Century English pine saddle stand presented in its original paint with 2 little drawers and the initials RG to one of its sides. Like many of these stands it’s a modest affair with 4 simple square legs and two stretchers. This one does have 2 small drawers one at either end which is a nice addition.
It’s presented in its original paint/stain and with historic wear and tear. The frame is firm. Both drawers have a simple little brass finger pull and are working smoothly. The frame does have plenty of knocks and bumps which seem part and parcel of its past working life. We have treated as a precaution some old worm holes and the piece is ready to display.
A lovely piece of rustic English country furniture which would make a great addition to a country home.
Dimensions – Overall: Height 106.5cm x Width 122.5cm x Depth 47cm
