A Good Looking Mid Century Vintage Danish Desk
This one is a nice one – a true desk rather than a converted dressing table. It comes stamped Made in Denmark, is a one owner desk and has some real style, very much indicative of its era.
A pleasing mix of teak and Afromosia with those darker tipped tapered legs looking great and a little different to the norm. Underneath the slender lightly bevelled top hangs two flights of drawers – one of 3 and the other of 2 all with original handles which are good looking from all angles – so no problem placing it in a room rather than against a wall.
Condition report- As a one owner desk, it’s not suffered from having been stored in a shed so no repairs, warping or loss of handles etc. The drawers are running smoothly and the frame is firm. The top is marked as per images but again these are usage marks rather than neglect. We have cleaned the drawers, waxed the drawer runners and given it a light clean and wax. We would say a sensibly used vintage desk with day to day bumps and knocks. Also smells fine.
A great looking desk of practical proportions, ready for work – home or commercial...
