Good English Edwardian Bergere Armchair We Have 2 Matching
Surviving from the early part of the 20th Century these Bergere chairs are in good historic order and possess an attractive stance. The long slender rounded arms finished with a little floral roundel to the fronts are matched well to the shapely fine arched backs. The frame is sitting firm on front ball and claw feet.
Workshop report - Both chair frames are firm, no wobbles or repairs. The cane work is in fine order with no breaks or holes. The fringed seat covering, in a light sage green velvet is clean and neat with one chair cushion having three very small 5mm holes – not an eye sore . The spring bases are good and we have added new hessian to the bottoms for peace of mind and neatness. No bad odours. A comfortable and smart pair of chairs. Expect light day to day marks to the frames but nothing unattractive.
These will fit into so many areas in the home or commercial space and are in great historic condition.
The price is for one chair delivered, not both.
